Mitsubishi BD2G Dozer Parts
Mitsubishi BD2G enthusiasts: I’ve always had a fondness for the Mitsubishi BD2G dozers – those reliable machines that graced construction sites aplenty across Asia some 15 to 20 years ago were imported into the US by knowledgeable and now retired companies such as Pacific Imports in Sandy Oregon.
Though they’ve become somewhat of a rarity, the discerning collector understands the inherent value and power these old workhorses still possess.
Steel Chains – Mitsubishi BD2G Update
A recent customer’s BD2G chains bushings were completely shot but his 12″ wide steel shoes were in great condition. Only problem is when you call around you’ll be told that the only assembly available is chains with 18″ wide shoes. Question is will those chains work as a replacement on the 12″ wide shoe. In this case the answer was YES. A couple of his shoes were broken so we also supplied him with a couple of 18″ wide shoes which he cut down to 12″. See photograph. Rubber Tracks tailored to fit the Mitsubishi BD2G are still periodically stocked in the US but it’s becoming more of a challenge to find them. There’s an option to retrofit your BD2G with Steel Tracks, complete with all the necessary undercarriage parts. A more reliable alternative!
